Video: JEM Trail – Virgin, Utah
Last summer we went to Southern Utah for our big family vacation. What attracted us to this sun baked region of the United States? The main attraction was Zion National Park. The park is home to some awesome hikes with spectacular landscapes and views.
After doing some research, I found out that Southern Utah has dozens of trail networks to check out. Virgin, Utah, the home of Red Bull Rampage, is also about 30 minutes away from Zion!
In my excitment, I took my GoPro Hero 2 on every ride we went on that trip. I got some awesome footage, but never shared it with anyone. So I have decided to do a little series here on The Mountain Bike Life. The first video is from JEM Trail.
My Dad shuttled myself, my brother Tanner, and cousin Mason to the trail head. I rode my Specialized Status 2 which turned out to be a bit overkill. Tanner rode his Specialized Enduro and Mason rode a Specialized Stunmpjumper FSR 29’er. It turned out that the trail was more suited for trail/all mountain bikes rather than a downhill bike. I still had a great time though and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!
