John Paul and I grew up riding BMX in Findlay, Ohio. Later, after drifting here and there, we ended up both living and working together in Austin, TX. John Paul destroyed at the 9th Street trails, while I destroyed my back. Somewhere in that time period we started riding various other bikes; for myself mountain biking was a more meditative way to put tires to dirt without getting so beat up. Eventually the ebb and flow of life events and the powerful draw of smart women lured us to opposite coasts. I now live in New Jersey, writing and reluctantly wrenching, while John Paul is in San Francisco, immersed in the world of art and architecture. We are both stoked to be collaborating, and hope the readers enjoy it as much as we enjoy the creative process.
